Gandhi

What an inspiring life. I realized I need to move his ear closer to his eyes. Hopefully that would fix the perspective problem but I'm still pretty happy with the shading and the eyes.

The Mayflower

It's not a great picture but not bad for less than 1/2 hour. I also was drawing without anything to look at and found the angle I'd chosen more tricky than I first envisioned. Oh well. I've added the words "Early English Colonies" to the sky since this picture was taken and they're copying it for the cover of their first history block.

I've never had my beginning of school chalkboard drawing done this early. I usually put it off until the last couple of days before school. Maybe the last days of vacation won't feel as hectic as they usually do?
